Electric Overhead Travelling Crane in Chhattisgarh

.K. Engineering Company’s Electric Overhead Travelling (EOT) Crane is a versatile overhead lifting solution built for continuous industrial duty, combining an electric hoist, travelling trolley and bridge structure mounted on runway rails fixed to building columns or beams. The crane offers three powered motions—hoisting (up/down), cross travel (trolley movement across the bridge) and long travel (bridge movement along the bay)—enabling precise positioning of loads anywhere within the covered area.

Available in single‑girder and double‑girder configurations, the EOT crane can be configured from light to very heavy capacities, with single‑girder designs typically serving up to around 20 tons and double‑girder systems used for higher tonnages and longer spans. This flexibility makes it suitable for a wide range of applications, from machine shops and warehouses to steel plants, power houses, shipyards and heavy fabrication units.

The hoisting mechanism uses an electric wire rope or chain hoist selected according to capacity, lifting height and duty class, incorporating load brakes, limit switches and overload protection for safe operation. Modern EOT cranes employ energy‑efficient motors and variable‑frequency drives to provide smooth acceleration and deceleration, reduce load sway and allow both slow, accurate handling and faster travel speeds when required.

Key features typically include customizable span and hook height, ergonomic pendant or radio remote controls, and optional smart functions such as anti‑sway technology or diagnostic monitoring to reduce downtime. Comprehensive safety systems—overload sensors, end‑limit switches, emergency stops and interlocks—are integrated to protect operators, loads and structures during daily operation.

By lifting loads overhead and freeing floor space, S.K. Engineering Company’s Electric Overhead Travelling Crane helps streamline material flow, minimize manual handling risks and support lean, high‑throughput production layouts. Its robust construction, low maintenance requirements and adaptability to different bay dimensions make it a long‑term, cost‑effective investment for modern industrial facilities.
