10 Ton Goliath Crane

S.K. Engineering Company’s 10 Ton Goliath Crane is a high‑performance gantry‑type EOT crane developed for sites where overhead runway beams are impractical or where large open areas need full crane coverage. The crane bridge is supported on portal legs running on ground‑level rails, allowing it to traverse the entire working length while keeping the building roof free of crane loads and minimizing structural modifications.

With a rated capacity of 10 tons, this Goliath Crane is ideal for medium to heavy‑duty material handling in fabrication shops, construction and infrastructure projects, engineering units, precast yards and general industrial stockyards. It efficiently handles loading and unloading of trucks, movement of steel beams and plates, heavy machinery, moulds and other bulky items, improving throughput and reducing dependence on mobile cranes or forklifts.

The 10 Ton Goliath Crane can be supplied as a single‑girder or double‑girder design, selected based on required span, duty class and headroom. Main girders and legs are fabricated from high‑strength structural steel with optimized box or I‑beam construction, while span, lifting height and travel speeds are tailored to the site layout and process flow.

Hoisting is performed by a heavy‑duty electric wire rope hoist or crab unit designed for 10 ton SWL, equipped with robust brakes and geared motors for reliable long‑term service. Long‑travel and cross‑travel motions use motorized wheel assemblies, often with dual‑speed or VFD‑controlled drives to achieve smooth starts, reduced load sway and accurate stopping at loading or unloading points.

For safe operation, the crane can incorporate overload protection, upper and lower hoist limit switches, long‑travel and cross‑travel limit switches, emergency stop circuits and rail clamps or parking brakes, especially for outdoor installations. Optional features such as anti‑collision systems between cranes, audio‑visual warning alarms, storm locks and pendant or radio‑remote controls can be added to match site safety standards and operator ergonomics.

By using rail‑mounted portal legs instead of building‑supported runways, S.K. Engineering Company’s 10 Ton Goliath Crane offers an economical and flexible lifting solution for new yards and brownfield sites alike. Its rugged construction, corrosion‑resistant finishes and maintenance‑friendly design deliver a long‑life, cost‑effective material‑handling system for demanding outdoor and indoor industrial environments.
