30 Ton Goliath Crane in Sikkim

S.K. Engineering Company’s 30 Ton Goliath Crane is a heavy‑duty gantry‑type lifting system developed for operations where overhead runway beams are impractical and where large open work areas require full end‑to‑end crane coverage. The crane bridge is supported on rigid portal legs travelling on floor‑mounted rails, allowing it to span multiple work zones, truck lanes or storage rows while keeping the roof structure free from crane loads and minimizing building steel.

With a rated capacity of 30 tons, this Goliath Crane is ideal for handling heavy steel structures, plates and sections, precast elements, machinery, moulds and other bulky industrial loads. Typical applications include fabrication and assembly yards, shipbuilding and infrastructure projects, large construction sites, industrial stockyards and heavy engineering workshops that demand frequent, repetitive lifting of high‑weight components.

The crane is generally configured as a double‑girder Goliath, using welded box or I‑beam girders and robust legs to ensure excellent stiffness and low deflection under full load. Standard technical ranges for 30 ton Goliath Cranes include spans around 10–30 m, lifting heights up to roughly 20 m and lifting speeds in the 5–10 m/min range, all customizable to suit site layout, headroom and duty requirements.

Hoisting is performed by a heavy‑duty electric wire rope hoist or crab unit designed for 30 ton SWL, equipped with high‑strength rope, reliable braking systems and powerful geared motors for long‑life service in demanding conditions. Gantry and cross‑travel motions use motorized wheel assemblies with single, dual or VFD‑controlled speeds, delivering soft starts, reduced load sway and accurate positioning at loading, unloading and stacking points.

To ensure safe and dependable operation, the 30 Ton Goliath Crane can incorporate overload protection, upper and lower hoist limit switches, travel limit switches, emergency stop circuits and high‑integrity brakes on all motions. Optional features such as rail clamps or storm locks, buffers, anti‑collision systems between cranes, audio‑visual warning devices and pendant or radio‑remote controls can be provided to meet plant safety standards and operator comfort needs.

By using rail‑mounted portal legs instead of building‑supported runways, S.K. Engineering Company’s 30 Ton Goliath Crane offers an economical and flexible heavy‑lifting solution for both new facilities and brownfield expansions. Its rugged structural design, corrosion‑resistant finishes and maintenance‑friendly layout provide a long‑life, cost‑effective material‑handling system for the most demanding outdoor and indoor industrial environments.
