Under Running Overhead Crane in Namsai

The S.K. Engineering Under Running Overhead Crane, also known as an underhung or suspension crane, is engineered to run on the bottom flange of the runway beam and suspend directly from the building structure. This configuration offers excellent hook approach, maximizes usable floor area, and is particularly beneficial where headroom is limited or installation of traditional top‑running runways is not feasible.

Designed primarily in single‑girder execution with an electric wire rope or chain hoist, the crane is ideal for handling light to medium loads, typically up to about 10–15 tons depending on structure and design. Smooth motorized cross‑travel and long‑travel motions ensure accurate positioning of components in assembly lines, machine shops, maintenance bays, and warehouse aisles.

Standard safety features include overload protection, limit switches for hoisting and travel, fail‑safe brakes, and robust control panels to guarantee reliable, low‑maintenance operation. Multiple control options such as pendant push‑button station or radio remote control allow flexible and ergonomic operation for the crane operator.

Key benefits of this under running crane system are reduced building and runway steel costs, better utilization of width and height of the shed, and completely clear floor space free from support columns. Depending on project requirements, S.K. Engineering can customize capacity, span, lifting height, and duty class to match specific workflows and material‑handling needs.
